“Natural Stone” refers to a number of products quarried from the earth, used over many thousands of years as building materials and decorative enhancements. Tiles are made from natural clay and often other (recycled) materials. Tile manufacture does not necessitate the use of heavy chemicals or other harmful substances, unlike other flooring types.

Pros:

-Natural stones tiles are eco-friendly
-Sturdy and durable
-Easy to maintain and clean

Cons:

-Natural stone tiles are more expensive than fabricated tiles
-Some types of natural stone are brittle and can be easily scratched or chipped
– Some types of natural stone are porous and as such has to be regularly treated with
a sealing agent to prevent water damage or staining.
