Engineered wood

Engineered wood is made with 3 to 4 layers of real wood glued together to create a plank.

Pros:

Is a durable option for places with high humidity.It can be installed in most rooms in home, including basements and over concrete.

Less expensive then solid hardwood.

Cons:

Can only be sanded once before it will need to be replaced.

Will not last as long as solid hardwood, their edge lack a protective layer so moisture will make them fray and water will damage them further.
